What is the Granbery PTA and what does it do?

The mission of the Granbery Parent Teacher Association is: “To engage parents, teachers, and the broader community to collaborate for the highest level of health, safety and education for each and every student at Granbery Elementary School”.

The PTA is a group of parents, teachers, staff, family, and community members dedicated to providing the best school experience for every Granbery student. The board includes teacher representatives, the principals, and parent representatives who meet monthly to discuss ways we can all support the students. We believe in building a strong partnership between our families and staff so together we can help all children to be successful.

We organize family get-togethers both at school and at nearby restaurants and businesses that give a percentage of money back to Granbery on our family nights. The money raised through the PTA helps meet many needs of the school .

The PTA also coordinates volunteers to tutor children, work the book fair, work in the learning garden, assist teachers, provide special luncheons and treats for our fabulous faculty and staff, count box tops, etc, etc, etc.

Why should I join the PTA?

  1. The membership dues go to a great cause – helping your child’s classroom and education. Show your commitment to the quality of their education.
  2. Volunteer as much as you can or not at all. You can support the PTA through your membership and by attending our family events.
  3. Connect with other parents and stay informed of what is happening around the school.

To join the 2016-2017 PTA, please fill out this membership form and return with payment to your child’s teacher.
